Today I bring you an irresistible dessert proposal: matcha green tea panna cotta.
Surely with this dessert you will surprise your guests, since not only it’s delicious. It is also a very colorful dessert without adding artificial colors! Matcha green tea acts as a natural green coloring, while the contrast with red and sweet strawberries combines great (also red and green are the Christmas colors par excellence).
Making this matcha green tea panna cotta at home is very easy, it will only take a few minutes. We just have to make it early enough to cool well and set in the fridge. And with a panna cotta for dessert, you always win!
Ingredients for matcha green tea panna cotta (serves 4):
- 300 g heavy cream
- 90 g milk
- 110 g white chocolate
- 1 teaspoon matcha green tea
- ½ teaspoon vanilla paste
- 2 gelatin sheets
- Sugar, to taste
- Strawberries, pistachio powder and strawberry buttercream to serve
How to make matcha green tea panna cotta:
First, hydrate the gelatine sheets in a cold water for 5 minutes.
In a pan over medium low heat, add the heavy cream, vanilla paste, matcha green tea and sugar to taste. Matcha grean tea is quite bitter, but remember that we will also add white chocolate. For my taste, 1 tablespoon of sugar is enough. Stir until sugar has dissolved and remove from heat.
With the mixure still hot, add the white chocolate into small pieces and the gelatin sheets well drained. Stir well.
Distribute the panna cotta in individual cups. Let in the fridge over night.
Finally, serve with fresh strawberries, crushed pistachios and strawberry buttercream.
Keep in the fridge until serve.
Delicious!
