Ingredients for Broccoli and bacon quiche:
- 1 broccoli
- 1 small onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 100 gr bacon
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 125 gr grated cheese
- 1 dough (shortcrust pastry, whole wheat crust or puff pastry)
- 3 eggs
- 500 ml cooking cream
How to make Broccoli and bacon quiche:
First, chop and clean the broccoli and boil it in plenty of water with a pinch of salt for 3 minutes from the time it starts to boil.
Then, chop the bacon, the garlic and the onion; stir-fry together with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Place the bacon in a strainer to catch the excess oil.
In a bowl, mix the eggs with the cream, season to taste and whisk until well blended.
Stretch the dough (shortcrust pastry, whole wheat crust or puff pastry) covering the base and edges of the quiche pan. Add the broccoli, the bacon, the cheese and the egg mixture.
Preheat the oven to 200 °C and bake it during 30 minutes (heat up and down) covered with aluminum foil so that it doesn’t burn, uncover and bake 10 minutes more untill browned.
