This delicious avocado, cream and toffe mousse was fruit of improvisation a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to eat something that was sweet and fresh at the same time. It had to be a quick and simple recipe, but also very eye-catching. So I opened the fridge, and in a few minutes I already had a recipe ready waiting to be eaten.
The contrast of colors is beautiful, the flavors spectacular. I think this time the photos speak for themselves. I love avocado!
Ingredients for avocado, cream and toffee mousse (serves 4):
- 1 big ripe avocado
- ½ lime
- 200 ml of heavy whipping cream
- Powdered sugar to taste
- Toffee
- 4 strawberries
How to make avocado, cream and toffee mousse:
First, make the homemade toffee.
Place the heavy cream and powdered sugar in the mixer and beat for about a minute, until whipped cream.
Open the avocado in half, remove the bone and the peel. Put it in the blender jar with the juice of ½ lime and make it puree. Add sugar to taste and mix again until get a soft cream.
Mix the avocado puree with ⅓ of the whipped cream.
Serve like this: a layer of avocado mousse, a layer of wipped cream and top with toffee. Repeat with another layer of avocado mousse, wipped cream and finally toffee on the top.
Finish with a strawberry on the top.
Let in the fridge about 30 minutes and ready to enjoy!
