This time I made them with a pizza filling, however you can fill them with another ingredients. What do you think about ham, cheese and black olives swirls?
Ingredients for Puff pastry pizza swirls:
- 1 puff pastry sheet
- Grated cheese
- Tomato sauce
How to make Puff pastry pizza swirls:
First, stretch the sheet of puff pastry and cover with a thin layer of tomato sauce. Then, add the ham and cheese. Season to taste with salt, pepper and oregano.
At this moment, very carefully, roll the sheet of puff pastry, squeezing well to have a compact pizza roll (you can see photos with the step by step here). Wrap the roll with parchment paper and freeze for about 30 minutes to harden it.
After this time, cut it in slices of 1.5 cm (at being slightly frozen will be easier) and place, separated from each other, on a tray covered with baking paper.
Preheat the oven at 180 ºC and bake them for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool on the tray before serve. Them will be very crispy.
