- 100 gr unsalted butter at room temperature
- 1 egg
- 100 gr brown sugar
- 375 gr flour
- 130 gr molasses
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
How to make Daddy’s fresh ginger cookies:
First, beat the sugar and butter until creamy. Then, add the egg and molasses, mix well and add the grated ginger and cinnamon.
Finally throw in the flour and the baking soda and make a ball with the dough; envelop with plastic wrap and let rest in the fridge at least 30 minutes for take consistency. After this time, stretch the dough and cut with a cookie cutter. Again, introduced it in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes. Stamp the cookies with a seal (of course this step is optional) and bake about 12 minutes in the preheated oven at 180 ºC.
