Step by step recipe video:
Ingredients for espresso coffee brownies (8×8 inches pan):
- 100 g salted butter
- 6 ounces (170 g) chocolate, chopped into pieces
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (90 g) espresso coffee, tempered
- 3 eggs
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- ⅔ taza (75 gr) all purpose flour
How to make espresso coffee brownies:
Preheat the oven to 360 ºF (180 ºC).
Grease the pan with butter and then sprinkle with flour. Let aside.
Sift the flour and cocoa powder, so that don’t get lumps on the brownie.
Chop the chocolate tablet into pieces. Put the chocolate in a bowl with the butter. Let it in the microwave for 20 seconds and mix well. Let 20 more seconds and mix well again, the chocolate will have melted. Repeat until mixure is completely melted. If a small piece of chocolate remains, stir well with a spoon, so that it melts with residual heat.
In a large bowl, mix well the sugar with the tempered coffee.
Then, add the eggs one by one. Don’t add the following egg until the first one is well mixed.
Now, add the chocolate and mix. Add the flour and cocoa powder. Mix untill well combined.
Finally, put the brownie dough on the greased pan. Bake it for 35 minutes or untill ready. We are looking for juicy inside, so if we prick it with a toothpick it will come out slightly stained with chocolate.
Let the coffee brownie sit for 15 minutes (with the pan) on a rack before serving.
Cut it into portions and enjoy the intense coffee and chocolate brownie. I recommend yo serving it with a scoop vanilla ice cream and fresh fruit.
